Privacy Policy (Neu Messages)

General

Neu Messages ("the App") is developed by One2 Labs.

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how information accessed or processed by Neu Messages is handled.

1. Information We Access and How We Use It

1.1. Device Phone Number and SIM Information

Data Accessed: Your mobile phone number(s) associated with your device's SIM card(s), where available and permitted by Android.

Purpose: To display SIM information and provide convenient SIM selection when sending messages.

Processing: This information is processed locally on your device. One2 Labs does not upload your phone number to its servers.

Permission: READ_PHONE_STATE may be required for certain multi-SIM functionality.

1.2. SMS and MMS Messages

Data Accessed: SMS and MMS message content, including message text, multimedia content, phone numbers of senders and recipients, message dates, and related messaging information.

Purpose: To provide core messaging functionality, including reading, displaying, organizing, sending, and managing messages.

Processing: Message information is processed locally on your device. One2 Labs does not upload or transmit your private SMS or MMS content to its servers.

Permission: READ_SMS may be required for core messaging functionality. Other SMS-related permissions may be required depending on the features supported by the App and Android.

1.3. Automatic OTP Code Extraction

Neu Messages may analyze incoming SMS messages locally to identify One-Time Passwords (OTPs) and make them easier to copy or use.

OTP detection and extraction are performed locally on your device.

OTP information is not transmitted to One2 Labs servers.

1.4. Phone Number Extraction

Neu Messages may identify phone numbers contained within SMS messages to allow you to conveniently copy or use those numbers.

This processing is performed locally on your device. Extracted phone numbers are not uploaded to One2 Labs servers.

1.5. Contacts (Optional Functionality)

Data Accessed: Contact names and phone numbers stored in your device's address book.

Purpose: To display contact names, identify message participants, and provide contact suggestions within the messaging interface.

Processing: Contact information is accessed and processed locally. One2 Labs does not upload your contacts to its servers.

Permission: READ_CONTACTS may be required for contact identification and suggestions.

1.6. Sending SMS and MMS

Neu Messages may use your mobile network and carrier services to send SMS and MMS messages.

When you send a message, the selected message content and recipient information are transmitted through your mobile carrier or network provider as necessary to deliver the message.

One2 Labs does not operate the carrier network and does not receive copies of messages solely because they are sent through the App.

MMS may require mobile data or another carrier-provided network connection.

1.7. Clipboard Features

Neu Messages may allow you to copy OTP codes, phone numbers, message text, or other information to your device's clipboard.

Information copied to the clipboard is handled by the Android system clipboard and may be accessible to the operating system or other applications according to your Android version and device settings.

Neu Messages does not control how other applications access or process clipboard information.

1.8. Internet Access

Neu Messages may use network connectivity for:

• Sending or receiving MMS through your mobile carrier, where required.
• Processing in-app purchases through Google Play Billing.
• Other optional network functionality, where applicable.

One2 Labs does not use internet connectivity to upload your private SMS/MMS content, contacts, or phone numbers to its own servers.

2. Data Storage and Security

Local Processing

Message content, contacts, phone numbers, and related messaging information are primarily processed locally on your device.

No Cloud Storage of Private Messages

One2 Labs does not operate servers that store your private SMS/MMS content, contacts, or message history.

Device Security

The security of information stored on your device depends in part on the security protections provided by your Android device and operating system.

We recommend keeping your device and operating system updated and using appropriate device security measures such as a screen lock.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

3. Third-Party Services

Google Play Billing

Neu Messages uses Google Play Billing to process in-app purchases and paid features offered through Google Play.

Payment transactions are processed by Google Play. One2 Labs does not receive or store your complete payment card, bank account, or other full payment credentials.

Google may process purchase-related information, including transaction information, purchase status, and other information necessary to complete and manage purchases, in accordance with Google's applicable terms and privacy policies.

Google Play Billing is used for purchase processing and does not provide One2 Labs with access to your SMS, MMS, contacts, phone numbers, or private message content.

Neu Messages currently does not use advertising SDKs, Firebase Analytics, or third-party analytics services to collect information about your messaging activity.

4. Data Sharing

One2 Labs does not sell, rent, or otherwise share your SMS/MMS content, contacts, phone numbers, or messaging information with third parties for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.

When you send SMS or MMS messages, the selected message information is transmitted through your mobile carrier or network provider as necessary to deliver the message.

When you explicitly choose to share message content or other information using Android's sharing or clipboard functionality, the selected information may be provided to the application or service you choose.

Information may also be processed by Android, Google Play, your mobile carrier, or other platform services when required for the operation of your device, the App, or services you choose to use. Such processing is governed by the respective provider's policies.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Neu Messages does not maintain copies of your private SMS/MMS content, contacts, or message history on One2 Labs servers.

Messages and related information stored on your device can be managed or deleted using Neu Messages, Android, or other applications with appropriate access.

Information stored by Android, your mobile carrier, or other applications may not be deleted when Neu Messages is uninstalled.

Purchase-related records may be retained by Google Play according to Google's applicable policies and legal requirements.

If you contact One2 Labs by email, we may retain the information you provide for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request or comply with applicable legal obligations.

6. Children's Privacy

Neu Messages is not specifically directed toward children.

One2 Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.

7. Open Source Components

Neu Messages includes open-source code from the Fossify project, which is based on Simple Mobile Tools and is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0.

The applicable open-source licenses and notices govern the use and distribution of the corresponding open-source components included in Neu Messages.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to Neu Messages, applicable laws, or our privacy practices.

Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the beginning of this Policy.

We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
